Join the Urban Institute’s Upward Mobility Initiative for a virtual workshop exploring how local leaders can foster dignity and belonging in their communities—and why these conditions are essential to advancing upward mobility.
Participants will explore dignity and belonging as core components of the Upward Mobility Framework and consider practical ways to embed these principles in program design and delivery.
The workshop will feature an introduction to dignity and belonging in the Upward Mobility Framework; practical examples from guest speakers of how local leaders have leveraged community engagement and other strategies to bolster dignity and belonging in their communities; and a guided opportunity to assess an existing program and identify concrete ways to strengthen its approach.
