Join us for a virtual workshop featuring experts from the Urban Institute's Upward Mobility Initiative. This session provides a deeper dive into the practical application of the Mobility Metrics and how they can be used to drive positive change within communities.
The workshop will feature the following:
- A live demo of the Upward Mobility Data Dashboard, showcasing its features and functionalities.
- A hands-on exercise to examine and compare your community’s data, identifying key areas for improvement.
- Speakers from communities using these data to understand and address conditions that enhance upward mobility for residents. These speakers will share their experiences and insights, offering practical examples of how the data are being applied to make meaningful progress.
Facilitators will demonstrate how to use local data to assess community conditions and monitor progress toward upward mobility and racial equity. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and gain valuable insights into creating lasting change in their communities.
By harnessing data related to economic success, dignity and belonging, and power and autonomy, local leaders can identify strengths and areas for improvement, and develop targeted strategies to enhance upward mobility for all residents, especially those historically excluded from prosperity.
