Join the Urban Institute’s Upward Mobility Initiative for a virtual workshop focused on how local leaders can use data to better understand community conditions, identify strategic priorities, and advance upward mobility from poverty.
Participants will hear directly from local leaders who are using the Upward Mobility Framework, Mobility Metrics, and local data sources to shape planning, align stakeholders, prioritize investments, and monitor progress.
The workshop will feature:
- a live walk-through of the Upward Mobility Data Dashboard and how communities can use it alongside local data,
- practical examples from local leaders using data to understand and address barriers to upward mobility in their communities, and
- opportunities for attendees to reflect on their own community contexts and ask questions throughout the session.
Whether you’re starting your planning process or strengthening a data-driven approach, this session offers practical insights and tools to inform every stage, from assessing local conditions to implementing solutions.
